Our founder, Marisa Donnelly, M.Ed., is a certified teacher with over ten years of experience in classrooms and private practice. She specializes in English/Language Arts, Reading, Writing (Creative, Academic & Professional), and more. She also has experience working with students with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, Autism, ADD/ADHD, auditory processing disorders, speech apraxia, and more.
Marisa’s goal in creating Be A Light Collective was to blend her passion for teaching with her excitement about writing (and related content). Her tutoring sessions are available online or in-person (Southern California area) and she focuses on building relationships with each and every one of her clients.
Whether you’re the mother of a five-year-old learning to read or an eighty-five-year-old who wants to brush up on his English, Marisa is happy to help. She can meet you in the comfort and convenience of your home—virtually or in-person.
